Coaching The Rising Stars of Cancer Research

Last year, Meyler Campbell teamed up with Cancer Research UK to coach some of its talented scientific researchers through our practice coaching programme. It gives Mastered participants the chance to step out of their comfort zone and help develop the skills of the next generation of scientific leaders in a unique setting. Dr Amit Roshan, a Cancer Research UK-funded clinician scientist based at the charity’s Cambridge Centre, is part of our first cohort. Amit’s research focuses on the early detection of cancer – a priority research area for Cancer Research UK. Click here to find out more about how Amit has benefited from our coaching programme and how you can become involved with Cancer Research UK.

THE FUTURE OF COACHING PSYCHOLOGY

The July issue of the BPS’ Psychologist magazine, is a special issue on the emerging psychology of the future - now including Covid. The Editor has generously allowed us to reproduce one article in full. It is a challenging call to action by Alison Clarke, Chair of the Practice Board of the BPS, (and member of the Meyler Campbell community). Alison is also spearheading historic moves in Coaching Psychology, opening up routes, in stages, to BPS accreditation up to Chartership.  This evolving project, while still on the drawing board, is designing routes to enable people entering from other walks of life to demonstrate and be recognised for their accumulated psychological knowledge and coaching expertise.  We’re keeping close to this and will report more soon.
