Genevieve Tennant

Genevieve is passionate about nurturing potential. Her belief in the abilities of others sits at the heart of all that she does, providing the challenge and support for people to achieve their very best.

Her first introduction to coaching was when she worked in HR at Schroders in the late 1990s. Coaching skills were regarded as a core skill for the HR team and the introductory programme sparked her interest and belief in the power of great coaching conversations.

She has since developed a keen interest and expertise in helping people to develop influence without authority, drawing on more than thirty years’ HR experience working with a number of significant organisations in the professional services sector - including as Global HR Director for Allen & Overy. As a member of their Board, she had specific responsibility for setting and implementing the firm’s global people strategy and being a custodian of the firm’s culture and values. Prior to that Genevieve held senior HR roles at Ernst & Young, Schroders and Arthur D. Little, specialising in the areas of graduate recruitment, performance management and leadership development, and has previously run her own consultancy business for three years.
