From coaching authors as publisher of Pearson's FT list to a thriving portfolio career. Liz is also an Alumni Ambassador for Meyler Campbell.
Dr Liz Gooster has her own coaching practice and is a qualified positive psychology practitioner. Continually curious and invigorated by new learning, she achieved a first-class degree from Cambridge University, has a PhD from University College London and in 2022 graduated from the University of East London with an MSc in Applied Positive Psychology and Coaching Psychology.
With a professional background in publishing, Liz’s previous roles included Publisher for the Financial Times list at Pearson and Editor-at-Large for independent business publisher, Kogan Page. She has published over 250 business books – at least one of which was life-changing! Commissioning Anne Scoular’s FT Guide to Business Coaching unexpectedly ignited a passion for coaching and ultimately inspired her career transition.
Liz’s coaching style is compassionate, empathetic and action-focused. She encourages her clients to play to their strengths and gently challenges them to be their authentic selves. Clients say she is powerfully encouraging and radiates positive energy. Thriving on growth and change herself, she loves to support people in making the significant, intentional and powerful shifts that will enable them to flourish. She has created a transformational coaching framework, SPACE to Grow, emphasising wellbeing, balance, connection and meaning as well as performance and outcomes.
Liz lives in Cambridge, UK, with her husband and six-year old daughter. She enjoys Zumba, tolerates running and practices yoga and mindfulness to keep her grounded. She loves reading and writing and dreams of living to 100 and visiting 100 countries.
As Alumni Ambassador, Liz's role is to provide a listening partner and additional point of connection for our growing graduate community. We are keen to maintain and enhance a sense of belonging for our alumni. We want you to feel connected, known, included and heard. So we genuinely want to understand how you feel and to gather ideas for possible changes and improvements to what we do. Please do also feel free to contact Liz if you have any suggestions about how you believe we could strengthen the Meyler Campbell community.
