Faculty member
Former corporate lawyer at Allen & Overy and Senior Counsel in Chairman’s office at BP plc. Associate Fellow at University of Oxford’s Saïd Business School.
Sarah’s work draws on over two decades of business and legal experience at board level in London and Los Angeles, as a corporate lawyer at Allen & Overy, General Counsel at David S Smith plc and Senior Counsel in the Chairman’s office at BP plc. As a Sloan Fellow with an MSc in Leadership from London Business School, she followed her interest in top team dynamics and decision-making with a thesis on unconscious bias in strategic decisions by PLC boards and by completing the Meyler Campbell programme in 2007.
Sarah now combines her busy coaching practice at Martin and Levin, with her membership of Meyler Campbell faculty and her work as an Associate Fellow of the University of Oxford’s Saïd Business School. At Oxford, she designs and directs award-winning leadership programmes for international law firms and coaches on a range of programmes including Women Transforming Leadership.
Sarah works with her clients to develop a clearer understanding and a deeper appreciation of what drives them, of where their strengths lie and when they are at their best, building in them the confidence to succeed. For Sarah, the power of coaching lies in the fact that it is truly bespoke. The answers to their most demanding challenges already lie within each client and coaching helps to discover them. The best response will always be specific to their unique strengths and circumstances and coaching helps them devise a practical action plan.
