How do organisations unlock pace and performance? By optimising agency at every level.
Drawing from the military concept of Mission Command, Meyler Campbell Faculty member Langley Sharp will explore how ‘leading with intent’ empowers faster decision-making through trust, alignment and clarity. You will have the opportunity to examine leader-follower dynamics, barriers to agency, and the role of coaches in accelerating organisational performance.
Langley is an executive coach and leadership advisor who specialises in helping executive leaders and teams navigate high-stakes transformation.
His career spans over two decades leading elite military teams and organisations. As a former Parachute Regiment officer he commanded a Para Battalion, led a counter-insurgency Task Force, served as the Operations Officer for Defence’s crisis response headquarters, and delivered the Ministry of Defence’s training programme for the London 2012 Olympics venue security, for which he was awarded an MBE. In 2019 he was appointed head of the Centre for Army Leadership, responsible for championing leadership excellence across the British Army. It was during this time that he authored the British Army’s official account of leadership, and bestselling book, The Habit of Excellence.
