An important announcement from Meyler Campbell Founder, Anne Scoular.

Dear friends,

For several years I have given much thought to securing the future of Meyler Campbell.

It is time to hand over to the next generation, to people who will protect and enhance all that is rare and special about Meyler Campbell, while bringing fresh technology, thinking, and impetus to our work. And I have always wanted to pass the firm on within our own remarkable community.

I believe I have done it. It is with great pleasure that I can now tell you that there is a new leadership team in Meyler Campbell: Catherine Devitt, Daniel Burke, and William Alexander. They are all Mastered Graduates, known to many of you, and they, together with Spencer Stuart, who have taken a minority stake, will jointly own Meyler Campbell.

Catherine is the stellar CEO who has steered us so extraordinarily well through the last five years, and particularly recently, as we rose to the challenges of Covid. We are today more successful than we have ever been, and much of the credit for that rests with Catherine.

Daniel has been Chair for several years, and has supported me, and worked tirelessly behind the scenes, since I started the firm almost 22 years ago; I am delighted he will now get more much-deserved limelight.

William will also be known to many of you: joining us after a 16 year career at Spencer Stuart, he is a Mastered Graduate, a passionate advocate of coaching, and an active member of the community. He has been a joy to work with over the last very challenging year, and I am relaxed and happy that he is now to be a core member of our team.

Spencer Stuart’s involvement is something I have quietly wanted for several years, since meeting several of the firm’s leaders as they went through the Mastered and Unleashed programmes, and recognising their deep and real commitment to the things I too value highly. Over 30 people there have done either Mastered or Unleashed, in the UK and overseas, and many have become active and lively members of our community.

I think this combination of talent will bring stability and continuity, while opening up exciting possibilities for us all.

Catherine will remain as CEO and Daniel will be staying on as Chair, with William joining the leadership team as Executive Director. The office team will similarly continue, and I will remain closely involved, as a consultant, with a focus on thought leadership. (And continuing to make introductions!)
