Our people

Langley is an executive coach and advisor who specialises in helping executive leaders and teams navigate complexity, uncertainty and high-stakes transformation.

His career spans over two decades leading elite military teams and organisations. As a former Parachute Regiment officer he commanded a Para Battalion, led a counter-insurgency Task Force, served as the Operations Officer for Defence’s crisis response headquarters, and delivered the Ministry of Defence’s training programme for the London 2012 Olympics venue security, for which he was awarded an MBE. In 2019 he was appointed head of the Centre for Army Leadership, responsible for championing leadership excellence across the British Army. It was during this time that he authored the British Army’s official account of leadership, and bestselling book, The Habit of Excellence.

As Founder Director of Frontier Leadership, Langley coaches senior executives and leadership teams across financial and professional services, technology and elite sport. He helps leaders demystify complexity, improving decision quality, alignment and execution under pressure. With teams he builds the clarity, trust and accountability required for sustained high performance.

A Meyler Campbell Mastered Programme graduate and accredited team coach, Langley brings to faculty work frontline leadership experience, deep insight into followership and team effectiveness, and applied, real-world judgment. Clients describe his style as warm, empathetic and professional, combining deep listening and incisive questions with meaningful challenge and robust support.
