Simon Calver has a rare combination of executive coaching expertise, boardroom insight and first-hand leadership experience. He works with senior executives and board members as they navigate complex leadership challenges, sharpen their strategic thinking and build the resilience needed to lead well over time. His coaching approach is practical, commercially grounded and shaped by many years of leading businesses through growth, disruption and change.

Simon has held CEO roles at major consumer-facing companies, including Mothercare Plc, and LOVEFiLM, the online pioneer that he scaled and successfully sold to Amazon. His leadership has been recognised with awards including E&Y Entrepreneur of the Year for London/SE and CBI Growth Company of the Year.

He also brings extensive board experience. Simon has chaired Fenwick, Gousto and Firefly, and currently chairs Vinterior and Marks & Spencer Bank, as well as serving as a Non-Executive Director at HSBC UK. He set up BGF Ventures and sat on the investment committee of the Business Growth Fund, giving him a deep understanding of investment, governance and business transformation.

Beyond business, Simon has shown his own commitment to resilience and purpose by rowing 3,000 miles across the Atlantic, raising over £160,000 for teenage mental health.
