Sara’s coaching draws on over 30 years’ experience managing operations for internationally renowned organisations. She combines her understanding of the qualities required to lead complex organisations with a deep belief in the power of coaching to unlock lasting change. Her work in the media and academia has given her an appreciation of the importance of the stories we tell about ourselves and others. She draws on boundless curiosity and a journalist’s instincts to pose perceptive questions, while creating a supportive setting for reflection and learning. Sara serves a global group of clients from banking and financial services, legal, media, higher education and non-profits. She puts a focus on transformation: aligning who we are with how we lead, and the difference we want to make in the world.

Before starting her own coaching practice, Sara was Chief Operating Officer at the Saïd Business School, at the University of Oxford and for many years held a series of senior roles in BBC News, including as Bureau Chief in Moscow, Jerusalem and Singapore, and Director of BBC Monitoring. There, she managed a network of global bureaux and broadcasters, winning awards for television and radio reports on global news events, military conflict and natural disasters.

A Russian and French speaker who is happiest in an international setting, Sara is also co-chair of the board of trustees at Global Canopy, a data-driven charity that targets the market forces destroying our planet’s forests and biodiversity.

Sara completed Meyler Campbell’s 2022/2023 ‘Mastered’ programme and is accredited with the Association for Coaching and the European Mentoring and Coaching Council. She is an associate coach at the Saïd Business School and a certified practitioner with the Leadership Circle Profile and Lumina Spark.
