Meyler Campbell Digest: February 2026

< Back to News & Opinion

Each month we share the latest from Meyler Campbell; we let you know all the news from the community and details of upcoming CPD and how you can book your place in the Events area.  Featured each month in our Learn section, we share a range of curated resources which we hope you will find useful and interesting. Near the end of the Digest, we share how you can watch previous Event Recordings and listen to the Meyler Campbell Podcast Series.

Ann Orton handing over CRUK lead to Penny Moyle

In 2019, Ann Orton initiated Meyler Campbell’s collaboration with CRUK, through which there have now been 100 successful pairings of Meyler Campbell graduates with CRUK’s researchers on their Future Leaders Programme. We are most grateful to Ann Orton for her efforts in creating these pro-bono coaching opportunities, many of which have been truly transformative for both the coaches and the cancer researchers involved.  Faculty member Penny Moyle is excited to be taking on this role and is looking forward to continuing, and even expanding, the positive impact for both Meyler Campbell and CRUK.

You can find out more about our partnership with CRUK, click here →

Seeking a volunteer to join the CRUK Research Careers Committee

In addition to supporting our partnership with CRUK through pro bono coaching, there are other opportunities to volunteer.  Currently we are looking for a member of the community to join the CRUK Research Careers Committee as a skills assessor, to help review fellowship candidates. Successful candidates will become eligible to benefit from the coaching offered by Meyler Campbell coaches as above.

If you are interested, you can find full details and information on how to apply via the CRUK role profile here →

Tales from Beyond

What do people do post-Mastered? In our Tales from Beyond series, graduates of our business coaching programme share their many (and varied) stories, from career changes and professional transformations to breakthroughs in their coaching practice. These stories offer a glimpse into what’s possible when leaders invest in themselves.

Tales from Beyond: Lesley Cotton

This month, we hear from Mastered graduate Lesley Cotton, a former board director specialising in HR, who has experience working across multiple privately owned, corporate, and private equity businesses. Since graduating in 2022, Lesley has approached her roles with a coaching mindset and firmly believes that having the ability to know when to flex between coach, mentor and advisor delivers sustainable change. Where do groundbreaking cancer treatments really begin?

In this episode of Jojo’s Cross Borders, Mastered alumna Jojo Qiao is joined by John Stopford Scholarship recipient Dr Helen Rippon, CEO of Worldwide Cancer Research. After meeting by chance at a Meyler Campbell event, Jojo and Helen were inspired to collaborate on this podcast and explore how the organisation is transforming cancer research. Watch here →

Coaching and AI: A perspective and a product

In this podcast, Mastered graduate, R.A. Williams is interviewed on the topic of coaching and AI, especially as concerns using AI to create their new digital thinking partner, Digital ONION®.

Based on her own highly effective coaching framework, ONION®, this new tool is at the forefront of a new category, helping people with clearer thinking and more confident decision making in the face of indecision and overwhelm. Listen here →
