Welcome Simon Fenton, Meyler Campbell Interim CEO
Before the festive break, we announced a change of leadership to the Meyler Campbell team with Simon Fenton joining as Interim CEO from 1st January 2025. Earlier this month, Simon shared a letter to the community to introduce himself and outline the future of Meyler Campbell.
“It is a great privilege to have been asked by the Board to take on this role, working with Catherine Devitt – who could ask for a better partner? I also wanted to add my thanks to Guy Ashton for all that he has accomplished over the last couple of years and we are pleased that he will remain part of our community.
Working to help others has always been one of my core values. Professionally, this led me to building my know-how around coaching and I was fortunate to graduate from the Mastered programme in 2020. Since then, I have been involved in coaching work with senior business leaders and am very firmly committed to the role coaching plays in helping businesses, organisations and broader communities. Of course, my coaching capabilities are outshone by many others involved in Meyler Campbell, and particularly our amazing Faculty.
Throughout my career, both at Spencer Stuart and my early life at Kleinwort Benson, I have been fortunate to have undertaken a variety of senior leadership roles in the UK, EMEA & Asia. My commitment as Interim CEO at Meyler Campbell is to help the community achieve all that it is capable of.”

We hope that our community will join us in wishing Simon the best in this role. We know that he is very excited to hear from each and every one of our community to further foster excellence in the area of coaching as it relates to Mastered and beyond.
CALL TO ALUMNI | Will you help to spread awareness of Mastered amongst your peers?
Meyler Campbell has successfully delivered exceptional executive coach training and leadership development for over 25 years; all of our programmes are available in face-to-face, virtual, and blended formats.
We run regular Introduction to Mastered events, the latest event being only last week, where we invite those interested to take part in the event and be involved in a group Q&A opportunity. While this event has passed, we are inviting further recommendations from our alumni to help contribute to the ongoing syndicate forming with some really exciting and interesting participants.
We thank our alumni in advance for your help; a large part of the appeal of the Meyler Campbell Mastered programme is down to the quality of the recommendations we receive from you, the Meyler Campbell community.

A SHORT UPDATE | Meyler Campbell & Harris Academy Ockendon (HAOC)
Pro Bono Coaching Project
If you haven’t already watched the short video with Simmy Grover & Jo Rainer discussing the coaching scheme, you can do so by clicking here. Simmy has also shared a short update and a thank you to the volunteers for the coaching scheme so far:
“I’d like to start by thanking all of the coaches who volunteered for this project. Both myself and Jo Rainey, have been blown away by the incredible support and kindness the Meyler Campbell community have shown for this project.
We had a busy time matching coaches and coachees over the winter break and had a great kick-off call at the start of the year. We have 30 members of staff going through six sessions of coaching with a Meyler Campbell Mastered graduate coach. This is the first cohort of three that we will be running with Harris Academy Ockendon so there is plenty of opportunity to join this project as it continues. By the end of the project, every member of staff at HAOC will have had the opportunity to work with a coach. Our main objective is that staff feel supported with their professional development, are empowered by the work that they do and have the opportunity to self-reflect and increase their self-awareness.
This project will complement the amazing work that Jo and her team have already done and will continue the upward trajectory in improving teaching quality and student outcomes. I’d like to end with some eloquent words borrowed from Jo Rainey: “We are privileged to have the opportunity to have an impact on the lives of children we will never meet.”
Keep a lookout over the summer, we will be sending out another outreach for coaches for the second cohort of this scheme.”
