We are fortunate indeed.

What do the numbers 1, 15, 38, 233 and 360 add up to?
As Meyler Campbell’s Coaching the NHS scheme draws to a close this month we reflect on a highly successful scheme.

In April 2020, together with our partners at BCG (thank you Niamh Dawson), we started our discussions with NHS England to form the Coaching the NHS scheme, a scheme dedicated to offering pro bono coaching to NHS leaders and staff seeking coaching support during the period of the pandemic.

  • We asked for volunteer coaches from the Meyler Campbell community and within 48 hours over 200 coaches had volunteered, and in total 233 coaches have taken part.
  • We asked for volunteer supervisors and within two days we had 15 supervisors offering to run up to 5 groups each. Over the life of the scheme we have run 38 separate supervision groups.
  • We asked for referrals from the NHS and since May 2020 we have had more than 360 NHS colleagues ask for our help.
  • We supported over 360 separate coaching assignments with a market value exceeding £2 million, all donated pro bono to the NHS thanks to the generosity of the Meyler Campbell Community.

Thank you to all of you who donated your time, support and expertise – you should be proud of yourselves, we are certainly very proud of you. It is this generosity and goodwill that is the hallmark of a Meyler Campbell Coach.

……And on the subject of numbers
When we entered the first lockdown at Meyler Campbell we decided to do everything we could to support our community with additional opportunities for learning and networking. This is what we delivered for you in the last 13 months:

  • 48 Webinars hosted and run for 3300+ attendees since April 2020, with a further 5 scheduled before the end of the academic year
  • 230+ articles, videos, blogs and podcasts sourced, curated and shared with you
  • 14 specialist Meyler Campbell Guides created and shared with you

We think we’ve done what we set out to do – what do you think?
